Brief


Pharmacosmos is a specialist in Iron Therapy and our ambition is to empower to Health Professionals to provide optimal care for patients suffering from Iron Deficiency Anaemia (IDA). 

The Anaemia Business Manager is a key part of the UK/IE sales team responsible for achieving market access, maximizing sales of MonoFer on territory and shaping the future market for iron deficiency. 

The role includes developing and servicing value-creating partnerships with Health Care Professionals involved in Iron Therapy. Prioritisation of sales and customer engagement activities in collaboration with line manager and medical affairs.

Location


Operating with a home base which is within the South Sales Territory.

Reporting Line


Reporting to the Regional Sales and Business Manager.

Responsibilities


  1. Sales: Achieve and exceed MonoFer sales targets in territory;
  2. Key Account Management: Excellent key account management to maximize market access and implementation of MonoFer;
  3. Customer identification: Map and prioritize key customers including consultants, nurses, departmental and principal pharmacists, medicines’ managers, key purchasers, procurement specialists and CCG leads;
  4. Customer planning: Prioritize, plan, coordinate, follow-up and evaluate customer activities to maximize ROI of customer engagement campaigns in the territory;
  5. Other products: Support customers of Pharmacosmos’ other products (Cosmofer and Phosex);
  6. Reporting: Keep ‘Performance Score Board’ and prioritized 5-10 Key Account plans (IV iron unit, synopsis, objectives, activity plans) in KAM system up-to-date on a daily basis for performance assessment and management support, including customer engagement, call/meeting reporting and business administration;
  7. Brand: Leverage Pharmacosmos’ corporate brand in territory;
  8. Qualifications / Expertise


  • Scientific, nursing and/or commercial education combined.
  • Broad therapeutic competence
  • Relevant experience in sales to specialists in secondary care and obtaining formulary status.
  • ABPI qualified.

  1. Market analysis: Ability to analyse market intelligence and understand the competitor environment for segmentation and targeting purposes, to correctly apply sales/marketing materials, clinical evidence and selling to achieve clinical buy-in.
  2. Presentation skills: The skills to develop presentations and business cases (in verbal and written form) to present to customers. 
  3. Problem solver: Proactive problem solving approach to identify and address a range of sales problems, from access to key stakeholders and to addressing and/or escalating technical queries in a regulated environment. 
  4. Attention to detail: Sufficient attention to detail to accurately report daily/weekly key account planning, reporting of activities in PODIO, and bi-weekly forecasting update of the monthly territory plan and scoreboard.
